The passing of W. Raymond MacLaughlin of Prince William, NB occurred at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday July 28,2010. He was 84. Born in Blaney Ridge, NB, he was a son of the late Winslow and Hazel (Parker) MacLaughlin. A member of the Riverside United Church, Raymond worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for both Fredericton Housing and the Department of Transportation retiring in December 1991. He was a member of the Mick Mack Trailor Club.

Survived by his wife of 56 years Mavis (Kelly); children Gary (Deborah) of Newmarket, Valerie LeBlanc (Chris) of Riverview; two grandsons Robert and Adam; a granddaughter Kelly; sister Evelyn Yerxa of Nashwaaksis; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Elburne MacLaughlin and his wife Mazie, as well as a brother in law Ralph Yerxa.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road where visitation will take place on Saturday July 31, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

The Funeral service will be held on Sunday August 1, 2010 from the Riverside United Church, Prince William, NB at 2 PM with Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. Interment in the Prince William Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donors choice.

Pallbearers will be John and Jordan Yerxa, Kent Parker, David Kelly, Adam and Robert MacLaughlin. Special thank you to all the nurses and staff of 4NW for their care shown to Raymond during his stay in hospital.
