Nelson Henry Nash (Kaggey), 76, of Saint Marys First Nation, Fredericton. Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 20th, 2026.

Kaggey was born on April 26, 1950 to Mary Nash (Molly) in Gagetown, NB.

Kaggey was truly dedicated to the love of his life Anna. They met in 1967, married in 1972 and they had five wonderful children together. He also has several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was dedicated and hardworking in everything he did. A man educated in many subjects and always willing to share his knowledge. He loved a great conversation and could chat for hours. A master at sarcastic humor, witty timing to others and enjoyed joking around. A compassionate man that always took care of his family and never hesitated to help anyone. He has been a strong rock, devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many and will be missed dearly.

Kaggey was predeceased by his precious baby daughter Brenda Lee Nash, his mother Mary Clara Nash (Molly).


He is survived by his loving Wife of 54 years, Anna Nash. Children Lena Harris (Larry), Angela Briggs (Billy), Nelson Nash Jr. (Jenn) and Julie Elliott (Peter). Grandchildren Darren Harris (Emily), Cody Harris (Autumn), Dirk Briggs, Dylan Harris (Darby), Nicole Harris (Brandon), Brandy Leigh Parr (George), Destiny Dunphy (Joel), Myles Briggs (Sam), Cameron Briggs (Deseria), Sarah Nash, Justice Nash, Isabella Nash, and Nevaeh Elliott. Great Grandchildren Layla Brooks-Briggs, Ava Ward, Ember Harris, Connor Briggs, Everly Ward, Astrid Briggs, Brayden Harris, Valor Harris, Amara Amos Harris, Lev Parr-Krylov. Sister Mary Polchies (Homer). Several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held at home, 380 Maliseet Drive, Saint Mary’s First Nation on Friday, July 24th from 12-9pm. Celebration of life is on Saturday, July 25th at 4pm, followed by a feast at home.
