With Sadness the family of T.
Frances Duncan wish to announce her passing on June 26, 2026, at the
Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
She was the daughter of the
late Dot and Guy Grant. She was predeceased by Her sister
Emma Veysay, her sister Carol (Roy) DeMerchant and brother Daniel
(Clara) Grant.
She was the wife of the late
Andy Duncan for 45 years until his passing in 1998. They enjoyed a
lifetime of fishing and camping with their friends. Fran began
teaching at the age of eighteen and continued for 35 years in the
Fredericton and surrounding areas. Fran became well known
for her ability to start a sentence with her left hand and finish with
her right hand in two different writing styles on the
blackboard.
She was a life member of the
Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a former President, attending meetings
into her 90’s. She was very active in her
church.
She is survived by her son
Ian Duncan (Dale King), grand-daughter’s Andrea Duncan
(Jordon McAvoy), Jessica Duncan, and Lisa Duncan (Jeremy
Estabrooks)
She is also survived by seven
great-grandchildren, Cadance Nelson, Bronwyn Nelson, Rhiannon Nelson,
Ryley Estabrooks, Andy Estabrooks, Jackson McAvoy and Isla
Estabrooks.
A visitation will be held at
St. James church in Hanwell on Thursday July 2, 2026, from 6-8
pm. The funeral will follow on Friday July 3, 2026, at 1pm
at the St. James church.
