We, the family of Ethel
Winnifred Lewis, are very sad to announce her passing at the Doctor
Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on June 25, 2026. She was
a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great
grandmother as well as a friend to many. Ethel was born in
Lincoln, NB, on May 15, 1928, to her parents, the late Fred and
Barbara (Yerxa) Foster. She was the wife of the late Don Junior
Lewis.
Ethel is survived by her
cherished children , Donna Farquhar of Ontario, Judy Flewelling of
Fredericton, Norman of Fredericton, Eric (Kathy) of Fredericton, and
daughter-in-law Ruth Lewis of Fredericton; grandchildren, Blair
Farquhar (Jackie) Christopher Farquhar, Kirby Court (Krystal), Danny
Court, Angie Lewis (Daren), Sarah Lewis, Amie Russon (Joel) , Kristina
Hambrook (Leighton),and Matthew Lewis (Kayla); Great-grandchildren,
Casey, Bella, Jonnie, Macauley, Drew, Aidan, Gordon, and Ryan; Several
great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her husband
and parents, Ethel is predeceased by two brothers, Fred Foster and
William Foster; sisters, Thelma Dickey, Martha Scott and Lillian
Taggart.
Ethel worked for many years
at the Scotts Nursery greenhouses in Lincoln, NB. In her
spare time when she wasn’t taking care of her much-loved
family, she could be found knitting, quilting or doing word
puzzles.

Bishops Funeral Home (506-458-1885),
540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, NB, have been entrusted with
Ethel’s arrangements. The visitation, funeral and interment
will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026, and
will be private for family and invited guests only. Visitation will be
from noon-2pm at Bishop’s Funeral Home, followed by the
funeral at 2pm with Rev Chris Bennett officiating. The interment will
take place in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery following the funeral
service.

donation in memory of Ethel, the Family have suggested the
Chron’s and Colitis Association of Canada or a charity of
