It is with great sadness that the family of Terrance James (Terry) Gamble, loving partner of Donna McNamara, wish to announce his passing which occurred on Jun 25, 2026, in Fredericton, following a short but valiant battle with cancer. Terry was born on March 8, 1958 at Kingston ON, the son of Shirley (McCarthy) and the late James Gamble.

Besides Donna and his mother Shirley, Terry is survived by his step-sons, Craig (Erin) Washburn and Dustin (Jill) Washburn, his sisters Wendy (Fred) Currie and Holly Gamble, his step-grandchildren Mae, Seth and Abiella, along with many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Terry had a passion for music and history. His love of music took him to Rolling Stones shows in several countries where he met life-long friends along the way. The Blues music was always his favourite. His interest in World War II history took him to battlefields and cemeteries across the countryside of Holland and Belgium. It also led him to start a business with his good friend researching, authenticating and selling antique war memorabilia.

His many friends and family remember his goofy Christmas and birthday cards that came every year without fail. The kitchen parties were many, and his warmth made all who came feel comfortable and welcomed. He cherished his friends as much as his family. He cried openly with joy and sadness when the music played. We know he will be remembered fondly by all who have been touched by him.

Arrangements are under the care of Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road (506-458-1885), Fredericton, NB. Following cremation, there will be a Celebration of Life Service, from 3-6 pm, on July 4, 2026, at Bishop’s Visitation Centre. Please bring your guitar, harp or spoons to make some happy noise and make him smile up there one last time. Remembrances made to the Fredericton SPCA or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
