With her family at her side, Mom passed peacefully at Hospice Fredericton on June 14th, 2026

Born in North River, Newfoundland on Feb 4th, 1935, she pursued a nursing career that would earn her an RN and later, her Bachelor of Nursing from UNB in 1990.  While she cared for patients in 3 different provinces in a variety of care settings, her most cherished role was that of an Extramural nurse, caring for palliative patients. It was a role she held until her retirement

She married the love of her life, Anthony Coady on June 17th, 1957 and together they created a very lively home filled to the brim with children and their friends.  In her retirement years, Mom was a gifted gardener with a  lifelong love of reading and crafting.  Her favorite way to travel was going on cruises with Dad.  She was a phenomenal bread (and touton) maker and nothing gathered us quicker than a call for "fresh homemade bread". While she held many titles, undoubtedly her favorite was that of Nanna to her 10 Grandsons; Matt(Christine), Zach (Stephanie), Tyler (Shannon), Nick(Katy), Greg(Haillee), Evan (Janelle),  Patrick (Becca),  Jamie (Jill), Drew (Brenda), Coady (Sarah) and chosen Grandsons, Ty and Riley.  She has since  earned her latest title, "GG"  to her 17 Great grandchildren.  Her home was filled with  photographs of her family and she loved to share stories of all these grandchildren.

Mom is predeceased by Dad and an infant son, Joseph.  She is survived by her children, Tony (Ann Marie), Debbie (Mark Northrup), Bernadine (Kevin Porter), Michael (Dixi), Roxanne, John and Mary along with 2 sisters, Rose Mullowney, Anne Lawrence, her brother, Tony O’Brien and dear friends Linda, Pat and Helen

A special thanks to Char and the staff of Brunswick Hall. We would like to thank Fredericton Hospice for the endless kindness and compassion shown to both our Mother and us during her brief stay.  To have her receive the same gentle care she once offered was a true blessing

A funeral service will be held at Holy Family Parish Church, Hanwell, Friday, June 19/26 at 11 AM.  There will be a private burial immediately proceeding her celebration of life

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice House or a charity of your choice would be so appreciated
