It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Linda Elizabeth Reilly, age 70, of Fredericton, N.B., announce her sudden passing on June 2, 2026.

Linda was born in Stanley, N.B., to her parents, the late Albert and Rhea Reilly, on September 9, 1955.  Her family moved to Labrador City, Newfoundland, in 1962, when her father accepted a position with the Iron Ore Company of Canada.  Linda loved spending time with friends and encouraging mayhem bringing her signature giggle and love for fun everywhere she went.

She moved to Fredericton, N.B., in early adulthood to be closer to family and settled into a cozy life working, enjoying her many hobbies, her pets and celebrating milestones with her family.  She pursued a Bachelor degree at St. Thomas University, earning honours and top acknowledgements upon her graduation.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Michael Albert Reilly and Rhea Ann (Mazerall) Reilly, and brother Richard.  She is survived by her siblings, Nancy (Mark) Holland, David Reilly, Wade Reilly, Michael (Brenda) Reilly, and Stanley Reilly.  Her niece, Megan (Darren) Barker and nephew, James (Jarie) Reilly.

She will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, sense of humour, her steadfast commitment to her opinion, and her deep love for animals.  She shared her heart and home with many cats over her lifetime and her one true love, Snowball, her Bichon Frise puppy dog, who provided much love and companionship throughout his life. Undoubtedly, the two would have been very excited to reunite at the Rainbow Bridge.

Linda’s second love was reading.  She thoroughly immersed herself in the incredibly complex worlds that authors create for our enjoyment. Whether it be historical fiction, romance, mystery or true crime, Linda consumed it all with great enthusiasm, excitedly sharing her favourite recommendations with all who would listen.

Cremation will take place at Bishops Funeral Home & Crematorium in Fredericton.  At Linda’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral services.  A private family interment will be held in the fall at Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Hanwell, N.B.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a SPCA or Food bank of the donor’s choice.
