It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jonah Patrick Wiebe, age 23, on May 28, 2026.
Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and residing in New Maryland, Jonah lived life at full volume. He was often the loudest person in the room, usually with one of his famously questionable ideas, but he was always ready for an adventure and a good time. Jonah had a way of bringing people together and never met a stranger for long. Friends quickly became family in his world, and his door and heart were always open to those around him.
Jonah was a natural tinkerer who loved fixing anything he could get his hands on—often taking it apart just to put it back together again. He found joy in the outdoors and could often be found fishing, riding four-wheelers, sitting around a campfire, or heading off on his next adventure. No matter where life took him, the people he loved were always at the center of it.
Jonah shared a special bond with his mom, Shannon. No matter how old he got, he always wanted to make her proud. She was the first person he wanted to tell his good news to, and despite his best efforts, he could never keep a secret from her for long. Their relationship was built on unconditional love, honesty, and a connection that could never be broken. The love he had for his mom was evident in everything he did, and that bond will remain forever cherished.
Above all else, Jonah cherished his son, Hayven Price. Becoming a father was one of the greatest joys of his life, and Hayven was the light of his world. He was incredibly proud to be his dad and treasured every moment they spent together. Jonah also had a great deal of respect for Rae Price, Hayven’s mother, and was grateful for the family they created together. The love Jonah had for his son was immeasurable, and that love will continue to live on through Hayven forever.
Jonah is survived by his beloved son, Hayven Price; the mother of his son, Rae Price; his parents, Tim and Shannon Wiebe; his sister, Lindsay Wiebe; his nephew, Layton Wiebe; his second chosen mom, Anne Murray; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
Though his time with us was far too short, Jonah’s laughter, loyalty, adventurous spirit, and ability to make everyone feel welcome will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Honorary pallbearers are Landon MacAulay, Dawson Edwards, Erik Gesner, Josh Shepard, Ben Tym, Kaleb Bonnar, and Cole Beaver, Luke Shaddick.
A private, invitation-only funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Fredericton Exhibition Centre from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., where stories, memories, and laughter will be shared in honor of Jonah’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to [email protected], for a trust established for Jonah’s son, Hayven, to support his future.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
