The passing of Linda Margaret Poore of Marysville occurred on Wednesday April 29th, 2026, at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital after a brief illness.  She was the daughter of the late Helen Theresa & Robert Leslie Poore.

Linda is survived by a sister Cecelia Collette of Missouri, USA and her sister-in-law Lois Poore of Keswick Ridge, NB.  She was the proud and caring aunt to RuthAnn, Donna, Sandra, Steven, Shianne, Shane and Kari.  She is also survived by numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews, including Deborah Poore of Arizona, USA and Sandy MacNeill of Fredericton, NB.  Linda was predeceased by her brother Robert (Bob) Poore and brother-in-law Ola Collette, as well as a brother, Mark Leslie Poore, in childbirth.

Family meant everything to Linda, evidenced by the scores of cards she sent to and received from across Canada and the United States.  She kept in touch by mail, phone and in later years by messaging, keeping all those special to her informed about her other great love, Boots the cat.  Boots will miss Linda’s company, the regular arrival of new cat toys in the mail, and of course the treats, which were numerous.  She also loved playing bingo and watching the Blue Jays on television.

The family would like to thank the staff of 4NW and ICU for the wonderful care Linda received.  The care and support for Linda and her visitors was excellent and made a difficult time more bearable.

Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home & Crematorium 540 Woodstock Road, there will be a visitation at Bishop’s on Tuesday May 5th, 2026, from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church 1500 Hanwell Road on Wednesday May 6th, 2026, at 3PM with Father Bill Brennan officiating. Interment will follow in the All-Saints Anglican Church Cemetery in Marysville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda’s name to the Oromocto SPCA or another charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be made at www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
