It is with deep sadness that the family of Brenda
Sansom announces her passing on April 26, 2026, at the Dr. Everett
Chalmers Regional Hospital, following a courageous battle with health
challenges. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Earl
and Mary Freeman.
Brenda was known for her
kindness, resilience, and unwavering strength. She took great pride in
the traditional art of canning and preserving food, skills she honed
over many years. Above all, Brenda found her greatest joy in the
simple pleasures of life: spending cherished summers at the lake,
going for scooter rides with her husband, and being with her
grandkids. Her warmth and spirit will be deeply missed and fondly
remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her
devoted husband, Todd Sansom; her loving children, Brittany Sansom and
Tina Hansen (Kevin); and her cherished grandchildren, Harleigh,
Haiden, and Kirk. She also leaves behind her brother, Robert Freeman
(Pauline); her sisters, Sandi Shannon (Paul) and Lori Hanson (Mike);
her cousins, Kelly Robb and Terri-Sue Clare (Mike); and her nephews,
Dustin, Cody, and Devon, as well as many other extended family members
and friends.
Brenda was predeceased by her uncle,
Terry (Donna Beth), whom she was so fond of and grateful to have found
later in life.
A Celebration of Life will
be held at the Geary Lions Club on May 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00
PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in
Brenda’s honor may be made to The War Amps
