With deepest sympathies, we announce the sudden passing of Crystal Joy Polches (Brooks). Whose spirit and comfort joins with the beloved Nanny Joy. 

Crystal, 47, born in Fredericton, NB, on July 7th, 1977 passed away December 19th, 2024 at her home in St. Mary’s First Nation.

Absent in our hearts will be the enlightening conversations and customary phone calls to those in which Crystal cherished. Crystal’s huge and radiant smile displays the overflowing and absolute love she had for her grandchildren, children, and her protector and dearest husband William "Billy" Polches Sr.

Crystal’s spirit journey follows her grandmother Joyce "Nanny Joy" Brooks and brother Rodney Sacobie.

Crystal Joy is remembered by her Parents Ruth Ann and Jeff Paul; Mother-in-law Clara Polches; Husband William "Billy" Polches Sr; Children Carly Ann (Mitch), Randi Dawn (Storm), Billy Jr (Dylan), Izabella Joy (Alex); Grandchildren Olivia, Trinity, Xaya, Declan, Zayne, Cain; Nieces Angelica and Maddison Sacobie and Nephew Simu Sacobie; as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Relatives of Crystal extend full gratitude for the life and teachings Crystal has brought to us all; the love she presented and taught her family; and the support from community, loved ones, and friends at this heart-rendering time. 

Resting at the Maqiyahtimok Center 247 Maliseet Drive, St. Mary’s First Nation on Sunday December 21st, 2024 from 12-6 PM.  with family visitation on Sunday from 10 AM-12 Noon and 6-8 PM., followed by traditional viewing will take place till service time at 4:30.
