Born February
17th, 1986, she was a loving daughter and
caring sister. She passed away in the early evening of December
12th, 2024, while surrounded by her
family.
Tammy is survived by her
parents Brian and Mary Sorensen; Grandfather Karl Sorensen (Grampie);
brothers Marc (Jenna), Troy (Darby) and Anthony; and sisters Jayne,
Kerry (Ben) and Mary (Sandy). She is a loving aunt to her nieces Star,
Kabrayrah, Bella, Sally and Alice, and nephew Darrell. She was
cherished by many aunts and uncles, and
cousins.
Tammy is predeceased by her
grandfather Thomas White, and grandmothers Joan White and Audry
Sorensen.
Tammy was an employee at the
Atlantic Superstore on Dundonald, and a resident at the Southside
Special Care Home.
Tammy was an athlete in the
truest sense. She worked hard, and played even harder, and was always
there for her teammates. She was so full of pride to carry the NB flag
for the Special Olympics. Her competitiveness could be seen not only
in her sports, but in every game she played, especially
UNO.
She had a smile that would
brighten a room, she loved to make people laugh and was
everyone’s biggest cheerleader, but always the first to tell
you "How it was". Always ready to extend a helping
hand.
Tammy will be forever missed
by those who she left behind, but as she did in her amazing life, she
will be above watching out for those who she
loves.
Tammy’s family will
be forever grateful for the amazing care she received during her time
in the ICU at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital and the Nephrology
Transplant Clinic at the Saint John Regional
Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held at
1pm on Tuesday December 17, 2024, at Sts. John and Paul Catholic
Church 727 New Maryland Hwy, New Maryland NB with Father
Suresh officiating. Immediately following the service, a
reception will be held in the church hall.
Donations in Tammy’s
memory can be made to the NB Kidney Association or the Special
Olympics. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be made at
