It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gary Warren Arnold announce his passing on December 12, 2024 at age of 79.

Born September 9, 1945 in Parlee Brooke, NB to late Warren and Stella Arnold. Married to Margot Arnold.

Gary is survived by his son James (Tracy) Arnold, daughter Krista Arnold (Horace Hayles). His grandchildren Sydney Morency, Liam Arnold & Nick Selig (Katie Armstrong).

He was predeceased by parents, sister Joyce (Clearance) Otis, Nephew David Otis and his special Uncle Murray & Aunt Blanche McFarlane.

After graduating from high school, Gary went to work with Mack Maritime, helping to build the Mactaquac Dam. He then embarked on a 47-year career in the transport truck industry, working with his favorite, Mack Trucks.

Gary married his high school sweetheart, Margot Arnold (Crealock), on July 6, 1968, and together they made a home and raised a family in New Maryland, NB. They spent 30 wonderful years as seasonal campers at Seaside Trailer Park in St. Martins, NB.

To Gary, there was no better place than the farm on Glebe Road, where he and Margot made their home after retirement. He loved spending time in the woods cutting firewood, going on 4-wheeler rides, taking nightly walks around the property, enjoying bonfires, and welcoming visits from family and friends.

Gary had a passion for tractors and collecting antiques, particularly meat grinders. He also enjoyed refinishing furniture, reading, and building his collection of books. A lover of humor, he was known for his teasing and running jokes.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Peter Dickinson, the ER nurses, and the Palliative Care staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.

Arrangements are under the care of Bishops Funeral home. Visitation will be held at New Maryland United Church 875 Rte 101 Nasonworth, NB Sunday December 15, 2024 2pm to 5pm. Funeral service will be held Monday December 16, 2024 at 2pm at New Maryland United Church.

In lieu of flowers donations to New Maryland United Church fund would be appreciated by the family.
