The family of William David Price, husband of the late Marie (Johnston) Price are sad to announce his passing on August 13, 2024, at Mill Cove Nursing Home.  David was born in Dartmouth Nova Scotia on June 21, 1937, to his parents, the late John and Annie (Gahan)Price

Survived by his children, Jeffrey (Debbie) of Saint John, Chris (Tammy) of Jemseg and Lisa (Courtney) Of New Hampshire, two sisters, Linda and Donna; three brothers Rex, Peter, and Bobby; five grandchildren, Travis, Troy, Trent, Cortney and Brittany; five great grandchildren Parker, Holly, Madelyn, Haitham and Alexandra Jade as well as several nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents and his wife, he is predeceased by his brothers Gerald, Ken, Ralph, John, Victor, Gary, Bud and Richard. 

In his younger years, David and his wife Marie enjoyed many pursuits including Square Dancing and summer Camping on Davidson Lake.  David coached and mentored both of his sons in their younger years of hockey and baseball.

David was generous with his time and active in various charities throughout his lifetime. He was a member and former president of the Y’s Men’s club, a member of the Wesleyan Church, and enjoyed singing tunes with his Fredericton Barbershoppers. During David’s later years he volunteered at Dr Everett Chalmer’s hospital, helping out whenever he could. 

Visitation for David will be held on Saturday August 17, 2024, from 11am – 1pm at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton NB. The Funeral Service will begin at 1Pm at the same location. The interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery on Monday August 19, 2024, at 1pm.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at the Oromocto Public Hospital Duffy Unit, the Oromocto Long Term Care and the Mill Cove Nursing Home.
