With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Kenneth Patrick Christie which occurred in Fredericton N.B. June 3rd 2024. He was the son of the late Edna Kindred (Stevens) and Kenneth Patrick Christie.
Kenny grew up in Fairville Saint John before moving to the Kingston Peninsula in his early teen years where he was lovingly raised by his mother Edna and Gerald Francis Kindred.
Those who knew Kenny knew he
marched to the beat of his own drum. Always going where the wind took
him. He always had a story for every life situation which most times
ended up in hysterical laughter and at times disbelief. Kenny had a
natural gift for playing any sport growing up and was also a very good
cook. Kenny was always willing to help anyone in need. He
volunteered at many different shelters over the years cooking
Christmas dinners for the
homeless.
His journey here on earth has
come to an end, but he will forever live on in all who knew him. Rest
in peace to a brother, father, uncle and a
friend.
Kenny is survived by one son Brandon and his only grandson Zane, sisters Heather Christie, Tammy Waddell (Junior) Angie Dempster (Sonney) and one brother Gerry Kindred (Shianne) as well as many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Elizabeth MacDonald for your care and compassion, as well as the first responders and the owners and staff at O’Hickey’s Irish Pub for your kindness.
In keeping with Kenny's wishes
there will not be a visitation. The family will have a private service
at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to a local shelter of your choice. Online condolences and
sharing of memories may be made at www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
