It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jason Edwin Furlong of Fredericton, who passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on April 30th, 2024, at the age of 49. He was born in Moncton NB.
Jason was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing; and took great pride in showing his grandchildren how to do so. He loved baking and cooking, and he was even the unofficial birthday cake baker. He loved spending as much time as possible with his grandkids.
Jason will be deeply missed by his partner Christine O’Neill, stepdaughter Jessica O’Neill, step grandchildren Rosalea and Jackson Waye and Hailey O’Neill, sister, Melissa Lynn O’Neill , his in-laws Ken and Wanda O’Neill, Aunts; Carol-Lynne Grover (Richard), Liz Niclasen,(Rocky) and Luella Ruth Enns. His fur babies, Rockie, Mishka, Willow, Tucker, Loki and Daisey. Friends Phil and Carla as well as numerous other friends.
Jason was predeceased by his brother Justin Furlong and grandparents Frank and Margaret Furlong and Colin and Sarah Cameron.
A celebration of life for Jason will be May 13th, 2024, from 2pm - 5pm, with sharing of memories and words from friends and family starting at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks the donations be made to the Fredericton SPCA.
Bishop’s Funeral Home & Crematorium have been entrusted with the arrangements.
