"The
night was dark and stormy and the wind was blowing hard And the
patient of that mother Looked upon her dying child. Your mother will
pray for you Pat, Your mother will pray for you And she hopes to find
you waiting upon that golden stairs The night was dark and stormy And
the angels came that night And they took that little darling With her
lips that seemed to say Momma when I go to heaven, Will the angels let
me play Just because I’m crippled, will they say
I’m in the way Your mother will pray for you Pat Your mother
will pray for you And she hopes to find you waiting upon thy golden
stairs Your mother will pray for you Pat Your mother will pray for you
And she hopes to find you waiting upon thy golden
stairs"
