The passing of Patrick Nelson of Fredericton, NB occurred at his home on March 28th, 2024. He was 49 years old. Born in Fredericton on February 20th, 1975, he was a son of the late Gilbert Devoe and Verna Paul.
Pat was well known as an artist in residency in downtown Fredricton. He could be seen walking around with his satchel of brushes and paints looking for inspiration. A friendly and gentle soul, he often helped out the homeless community with care packages of food or clothes when he saw them in need. Pat served in the Canadian Army and US Infantry for several years.
Patrick will be missed by his family in Houlton ME, Kingsclear First Nation and in Ontario.
All are welcomed to pay their respects to Patrick on Wednesday April 10th, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Kingsclear Catholic Church on Thursday April 11th, 2024, at 11 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
A Reception will be held at the Kingsclear Training Center immediately following the service.
