At the Oromocto Public Hospital, after a lengthy illness, Sylvia Annie Jones passed away on Thursday March 14, 2024 at the age of 89. Born in North Minto, NB, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Rosanna (Summers) Vandenbroeck and wife of the late William Arthur Jones. Annie loved birdwatching and was especially fond of hummingbirds.

She is survived by a sister-in-law Clare Jones; brother-in-law Darel Reimer; several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son Andrew Scott Jones.

The family will receive friends for a gathering to share memories of Annie on Sunday, March 24 from 2-4 PM at the home of Mary and Bill Hamilton, 14 Gloucester Crescent, Fredericton. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Contributions to Pancreatic Cancer Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
