The passing of Elder Eldon Patrick Polchies of Kingsclear 1st Nation occurred on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, at the Wik-Cihpolakon Senior Care Center in Kingsclear 1st Nation. He was 84. Born in Fredericton NB, he was a son of the late Joseph Polchies and Annie Sacobie.
Survived by his partner Charlene, children; sons Peter (Tina), Eldon Jr, Patrick (Melody), Lance, Catlin (Ashley), Mackenzie (Emily), daughter Ann Hilton (Norman), sister Bernadine (Carl), grandchildren Andrew, Cassandra, Megaghan, Jessica, Christopher and Calib, Tyler, Nevaeh, Miles, Gianna, Ashlyn, Oaklyn and Mackenzie as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Eldon was predeceased by his wife Bernice, his daughter Margaret, his granddaughter Tiffany, grandson Lucas as well as several brothers and sisters.
Resting at the Kingsclear Training Center 497 Chapel Road Kingsclear 1st Nation beginning on Thursday February 29th at noon until Monday March 4th.
A mass of Christian burial will be held from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday March 4th, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with Father Bill Brennan officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery in the spring.
