Peacefully at York Care Center, Alphee Levesque passed away on Thursday, February 1st, 2024. Born May 10th, 1928, in St. Andre, NB.

Left to treasure his memory are his children Linda McMorran (Brad), Lorne (Nola), Richard (Madonna), Bobby (Mona), Phillip (Cindy), Anne, and Yves (Jody). His grandchildren: Kerry (Stef), Kim, Jacqueline (Chris), Nathalie (Matt), Justin (Kristianne), Rheal (Jennifer), Kyle, Morgan (Andrew), Jordan, Nicholas, Nathan (Ashley), Jason, Jamie (Crystal), Matt (Lisa), Brody, and many great-grandchildren.

Alphee is reunited in Heaven with his wife Louise who has been patiently waiting for him since August 1st, 2022.  Predeceased by his parents and siblings.

Alphee loved being surrounded by family and nature. Known as Peper to many, he was an avid gardener blessed with a green thumb that could make any plant or crop thrive. Alphee loved spending time in the woods hunting and fishing with his friends, sons, and son-in-law. Alphee also enjoyed working with his hands and had a knack for "MacGyvering" something out of nothing and making it work. A quiet man. Reserved. Composed. Old fashioned in all the positive connotations of the word, Alphee was also quick with a wink or a prank on those he held dear. He will be greatly missed.

Alphee’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and caregivers in Tower 1 at York Care Center for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home and Crematorium (540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, NB) on Saturday February 10th from noon until 2pm, followed by a Catholic funeral service at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Father Bill Brennan officiating.  A reception at the funeral home will be held following the funeral service.  A family Interment will take place at a later date. For those unable to attend the funeral service in person, it will be livestreamed and can be accessed from the online obituary on the day of the service.

Online condolences and sharing of memories may be made at www.bishopsfuneralhome.com . In lieu of flowers, the family have suggested that memorial donations be made to York Care Center.
