Charlie left his family and friends peacefully on November
14th, 2023.
He was a loving husband and father, and a good friend to
many. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by wife Lorna, daughters Janet and Angel
(Brian), son Glenn (Sharon), grandchildren Kathy Ann, Anthony,
Nathaniel, Jonathan, Brian III, and many nieces and nephews. 2
Brothers, Garnet (Ruth), and Walter (Helen). He was predeceased by
infant son Anthony, Father Arnold, Mother Gladys, and brother
Vaughn.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator most of his life.
Some of the companies he was employed with were Bemrose and Kilburn
Ltd., Diamond Construction, Fredericton Airport, Starlite Construction
(Fred Herkart), and Capital Landscaping (Bud Hartley). He was an avid
outdoorsman; hunting and working in the woods. He loved his dog Sam
who accompanied him daily on his trip to Tim Hortons and Porters Diner
where I know he will be missed by Paul and Velvet and the morning
crew.
I would like to thank Urologist Dr. McKay and Dr. Lobo.
Oncologist Dr. Raza and assistant Karen. Also, all the nurses at 4
Southwest who made Charlie’s last day comfortable and
peaceful. He appreciated all the visits from his friends who gave him
their final regards; as I said, he will be missed. The family thanks
you for your thoughts and prayers.
There will be no funeral service or interment as he will be
cremated at his request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
the Cancer Society or donors’ choice. On November
20th from 2pm – 4pm there will be a
gathering at the St. James Presbyterian Church, on the Hanwell Road,
for close family and friends so we can say our final goodbyes. Thank
you.
