It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cpl. Allen Taylor Carty of Salisbury, New Brunswick on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at his residence in Moncton, New Brunswick. Born on October 20, 1978, he was the son of Walter Carty and Charlene (MacPherson) Carty.

Cpl. Carty proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 11 years as a combat engineer as an explosive ordnance disposal specialist. Throughout his career with the Canadian Armed Forces, he trained throughout Canada and the United States. He served two tours to Afghanistan, June 2007 – September 2007 and September 2008 – May 2009 with the EROC crew from 4ESR. Allen was a proud SAPPER.

Allen’s greatest joy in life was his children Quentyn, Sicillie, Braeden, and Sadie, along with his nephew Colby, Aiden, Isaac, Haidyn, Madden and nieces Ocean, Jetta and Nova. Allen held a special love for all the children of Bear Drive, for Shelley Polchies and her daughters, Marissa and Myla, along with his motocross family especially Dennis and Dustin Burbridge.

Allen will forever be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, partner, and friend. Allen leaves behind many memories and stories. He will forever be deeply missed beyond words and forever loved by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, his biological mother Colleen Tremblay (Randy), sister Kellie Carty (Tyler), his wife Nicole Marie Carty (Derrico), his 4 children, Quentyn John McCormack, Sicillie Ann McCormack, Braeden Kael Carty, Sadie Fawn-Marie Carty (Faith), his mother in-law, Bernadette Derrico, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends throughout his days in Salisbury especially his best cousin Newel Leaman and best bud Matt Leadbetter, within our community St. Mary’s First Nation, the Atlantic Motocross, and CFB Gagetown – 4ESR.

Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506)372-4800 with visiting Wednesday from 5 pm to 6:30 pm followed by a service in the chapel at 7 pm. Allen will then be transferred to the care of Bishop's Funeral Home in Fredericton.

At the request of his children, Allen will be resting traditionally at his family home at 185 Bear Drive, Fredericton, New Brunswick beginning on Thursday, November 16th, 2023 at 1PM through to Saturday, November 18th, 2023.
