The passing of Douglas Merlyn Cunningham of Harvey, York County NB occurred at his residence on Saturday, November 11th, 2023. He was 63.
Born in Fredericton NB, and a son of the late Merlyn Cunningham and Dorothy Gilbert, he served in the Armed Forces working at CFB Gagetown, and also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and rides on his side by side.
Doug is survived by his wife Joanne Cunningham of Harvey NB, one niece Becky Harris of Lincoln, one nephew Edwin Matthews of Truro NS, his children Jonathan Rumbolt of Harvey and Jocelyn (John) Green of Pembrooke Ontario, one sister Carolyn Currie as well as his pups Nicky & Lily.
Besides his parents, Doug was predeceased by one brother Kevin Cunningham & one sister Sandra Weaver.
The family will receive friends and visitors on Friday November 17th from 12-2PM, followed by a memorial service at 2PM in the funeral home chapel. The family also wishes to extend a special thank you to the Extra Mural staff, especially his nurse Bruce, and to Dr. Jennifer Dejoin for the excellent care they provided to Doug during his illness.
