It is with deep sorrow that the family of Noreen Micheline Vaillancourt of Fredericton NB, announces her passing at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton NB, on October 26, 2023.  Noreen was born in Grand-Falls, NB, to her parents, the late Effie Poitras (2023) and Pierre Vaillancourt (1971).

She is survived by her siblings; Linda Vaillancourt, Whitby ON, Steve Vaillancourt, Brantford ON, Gilles Vaillancourt (Ginnette), Brantford ON, Eveline Vaillancourt, Ottawa ON, Geatanne Vaillancourt, Ottawa ON, Geatan Vaillancourt (Margo), Quispamsis NB, Pierre Vaillancourt (Celine), Grand-Falls NB, Rose-Mai Vaillancourt, Dartmouth NS, Armand Vaillancourt, Cornwall ON, Normand Vaillancourt, Kinnear Settlement NB, Edmond Vaillancourt, Vancouver BC, Yves Vaillancourt, Grand-Falls NB, Jaqueline Allen (Ian), Fredericton NB, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother and father, she was predeceased by a brother Guillaume Vaillancourt (1999).

Noreen was a much-loved schoolteacher, a faithful member of St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church since 1971, as well as an active member of the Catholic Women’s League.  Noreen will be missed by many, including the thousands of children she taught and served throughout her career both in Boiestown and Fredericton, NB.

Visitation will take place at Bishop’s Funeral Home, Fredericton NB on November 2, 2023, from 11am to 1pm and will be followed by a 2pm Funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1500 Hanwell Road, Fredericton, NB.  Funeral will be followed by a reception at the Church. Interment will be held next spring at the Aroostook Catholic Cemetery in NB.
