The passing of Dana Richard Ginnish occurred at his residence 402 Kingsclear Ave, on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 at the age of 59.

Dana loved his family and close friends, had a deep passion for storytelling, with an appreciation for his Wolastoqey Language, and a wicked sense of humor.  He enjoyed music, old cars, fly-fishing, sports, sweets and off roading.

He is survived by his Children: Summer Saulis; Cameron Solomon (Hilary); Isaiah Ginnish; Grandchild: Simon Solomon; Brothers: Arnold Ginnish (Cynthia); Jack Ginnish; George Ginnish; Earlen Perley (Marilyn); Patrick Polchies; Bert Sacobie (Carrie); Justin Paul; Sisters: Renelda Dedam; Patricia Smith (Isaie); Edwina Ginnish; Delores Ginnish-Vautour (Real); Bernadette Paul; TerryAnn Polchies; Lucy Sacobie; Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Godchildren, and we cannot forget about his fur baby Beta.

He is predeceased by his Grandmother Margaret Polchies; Parents Richard & Monica Polchies; Sisters: Pauline Ginnish & Kimberly Paul.

Resting at 416 Kingsclear Avenue, Kingsclear First Nation on September 23 & 24, 2023.  The funeral mass will be held Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Annes Roman Catholic Church, Kingsclear First Nation with Father Bill Brennan officiating.  Interment will be held at St. Ann’s Church Cemetery.  Reception to follow at the Training Center located at 497 Chapel Road, Kingsclear First Nation.
