The Death of Donald George Flynn, occurred on August 31st, 2023, at Hospice Fredericton.
Born on February 23rd, 1938, at Cross Creek NB, he was the son of the late Fred and Mary (Lockhart) Flynn.
Don graduated from Stanley High School and Fredericton Business College. He was employed with the Federal Government for over 34 years, retiring in 1992.
Don is survived by his wife Joan (Speedy) Flynn of 64 years, sons Derek (Pauline), of Nepean ON and Kevin (Jennifer) of Fredericton, granddaughters Monique and Renee Flynn, Sisters-in-Law Diane Flynn of Fredericton, Joyce Jordan (Gary) of VA, Patsy Stover (Peter Leahy) of BC and several nieces’ nephews.
Predeceased by his parents and brother Raymond.
Don survived a number of serious illnesses but accepted them in his own quiet way. He and his family wish to thank all the wonderful friends, neighbours and health care workers that helped him all these years.
In Keeping with Don’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Memorial Donations can be made in his memory to the Hospice House Fredericton, Heart and Stroke Foundation or diabetes association.
