The passing of
Frank Anthony Sabattis occurred on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, at the
Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, he was 65. A member
of Kingsclear 1st Nation, he was a son of the
late Mary Alice & John Sabattis.
A member of
Kingsclear 1st Nation, Frank loved the
outdoors, this included wheeling, working in his yard, bird watching,
salmon fishing and sometimes just hanging out in his shed. An avid
bodybuilder, he also loved spending time with his grandbabies,
especially feeding them.
He is survived by
his companion Melanie Solomon, his children; Johnathan Paul, Courtney
Sabattis (Kyle Case), Chanel, Kelsea (Catlin Irvine) and Frank
Sabattis Jr, sisters Cora Tomer and Rosemary Young, grandchildren,
Brandon Paul, Kelly Paul, Xavier Sabattis, Brawnson Peters, Lilly
Paul, Pyper Sabattis, Easton Sabattis-Morehouse, Ambrose Sabattis,
Audraya-Lee Bear-Sabattis, godchildren, Janet Sabattis, George
Ginnish, Carla Sabattis and Terry Young. He is also survived by many
nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his
parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife Peggy and a daughter Star
Sabattis, as well as brothers and sisters; Ambrose and Royden
Sabattis, Annie Paul, Molly DeVoe, Loretta Sabattis, Jean Sacobie,
June Sabattis, Wilfred, Maynard, John, Leonard and Jim Sabattis,
Roberta Meuse and Malcom Sabattis.

Kingsclear Ave, Kingsclear 1st Nation, where
visitation will take place on Thursday & Friday August
3rd and 4th. A funeral
service will take place on Saturday, August
5th, 2023, at St. Anne’s Catholic
Church in Kingsclear at 12 Noon with Father. Bill Brennan officiating.
Following the interment, a reception will take place at the training
center in Kingsclear (497 Chapel
Road).
The family has
suggested that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer
Society.
