The family of Ross
MacDonald is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of his life on
June 24th at the Fredericton Dr. Everett
Chalmers Regional Hospital at the age of
42.
Born in Digby, N.S
and moved to Saint John, N.B to begin his schooling in the I.T field
and met his wife Christa in 2004. They settled in Hanwell, N.B, where
they shared their life together with their two beautiful daughters,
Emily and Sophie.
Ross was the most
friendly and caring person you could ever meet. He would always talk
and wave to everyone, especially the other orange Subaru drivers.
Ross’s greatest joy was his family and was an amazing
father. His daughters were his inspiration and was so proud of them.
He cherished every moment he had this them, whether it was supporting
Emily with her passion for soccer or Sophie’s imaginary play
sessions. Ross also meant the world to his wife Christa. He was her
rock, her confidant, best friend and soul mate. She was a better
person and mom because of
him.
Ross’s
other passions included baking and Judo. He could bake the best
cheesecake in town and he wanted to open his own baking business in
the future. His passion for Judo began from a friendship he formed
with the Sensei of the Shutokai Judo club. Ross was also known as the
cat whisperer but it was because animals could sense his kind
soul.
Ross will be
remembered by his loving wife, Christa MacDonald, their two daughter
Emily and Sophie of Hanwell, his mother Christine Morgan, sister
Becky, Half brothers Dylan and Chris, in laws Jane and Norman
Arseneault, aunt and uncle Joann and Kevin MacDonald, and many
cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other friends and
family.
He was predeceased by
his stepfather, Larry Morgan, his cousin Jordan Morgan, grandparents
Hope and Vincent Peak, and his cat
gimpy.
There will be a
celebration of life service at St. James Presbyterian Church at 1991
Hanwell Road, Hanwell on Thursday, June 29 at 2:30 pm with visitation
Wednesday, June 28th from 5:00pm –
8:00pm.
To honour
Ross’s love for his animals, donations in his memory can be
made to the Fredericton CARMA or the SPCA at a location of choice.
