The family of
Raymond Joseph Goodine are very sad to announce his passing surrounded
by his loving family, at his home in Hanwell NB, on May
6th, 2023. He was born in Jacquet
River on December 11th, 1940, to his parents,
the late Bernice and Delphus
Goodine.
Raymond is
survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Teresa Ellen (Murphy)
Goodine; three sons, Richard (Marlena), Dean (Monica) and Darren
(Brenda); seven grandchildren, Amelia, Jordan, Shelby, Kristi,
Mikayla, Keagan and Kasey, as well as his great-grandchildren, Lucy
and Everett.
Raymond was born
into a very large family of 17 brothers and sisters, Catherine
Rosborough, Clementine Emberly, Theresa McAllister, Eileen Jones
(Harold), Margaret Daley (Daryl), Clement Goodine (Barb), Joan
Boudreau (Jean-Marie), Lloyd Goodine (Peggy), Eugene Goodine
(Darlene), Donald Goodine (Debbie), June Goodine and John Goodine, as
well as many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to
his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, David, Norman,
Clement, and an unnamed baby brother who passed away at birth. He is
also predeceased by his brothers-in-laws, Jimmy Emberly, Lawrence
Rosborough and Brent
McAllister.
Raymond was
employed as a printer at Wilsons, Unipress and Quebecor printing. He
was also a Realtor with Homelife Regal Realty. After retirement
Raymond went to work at Kings landing where he worked in the sash and
door shop and often said it was the best job he ever had. He also
liked to have a few beers and strum his
guitar.
A visitation will be held
on Tuesday May 9th at 11am followed by a
Funeral Mass at noon with Father Bill Brennan officiating at the Holy
Family Catholic Church, 1500 Hanwell Road, Fredericton NB. The family
has asked those attending the visitation or Funeral Mass to please
wear a mask. An interment will follow the Mass at the St.
Patrick’s Cemetery in Newmarket NB. Pall
Bearer’s will be John Rosborough, Marty Goodine, Kevin
Daley, Rick Martin, David Murphy and Donnie
Moriarty
If so desired, the family
have suggested that memorial donations in memory of Raymond may be
made to the St. Patrick Cemetery in New market or the Canadian Cancer
