It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Alice Gagnon of Fredericton, NB on March 19, 2023 at Neill Hall at the age of 93. Born in Fredericton, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Ferguson) Parker and wife of the late George Henry Gagnon.

Joyce spent her working years as a legal secretary for the Department of Law Reform with the Province of NB. She was a long-time member and past president of the I.O.D.E., a member and past president of the ladies section of the Fredericton Golf Club, and a member of the Y’s Menettes. Joyce loved to travel, having spent time in Singapore, Africa, England, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Scotland, and countless other places near and far. She loved to bowl, golf, curl, play bridge and dance. Joyce was a good cook and an excellent hostess.

She is survived by her daughters Jacqueline Ann Gay (Ed), Linda Gagnon (Larry); grandchildren Adam Gay, Natalie Phillips (Craig), Lucy Togni (Luke), George Worthen (Maria); great-grandchildren Ewan, Audra, Bennett, Emmanuel, Julian, Dominic, Sébastien, Gabriel, Frederick, Scarlett and Blair; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation by request. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on April 1, 2023 at 2 PM with Father Bill Brennan officiating, assisted by Deacon Larry Worthen.
