It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden passing of Lucas Richard Solomon-Polchies of Kingsclear First Nation on March 12, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital at the young age of 27. He was the son of Eldon Polchies Jr. and Lenore Solomon Polchies (Jr Polchies).

Lucas had an infectious smile, and a contagious laugh one that could make anyone smirk even in their darkest moments. Lucas was friends with everyone and by everyone I mean everyone. People were excited to spend time with him, he just radiated so much good and positivity and most of all, love. He loved the outdoors, any adventure was a great adventure. He had a knack for fixing everything, and he always knew exactly what to do when things were broken or things were out of sorts. He never judged everyone and that’s what he was loved for the most, his ability to meet people where they were at and love them for who they truly were.

Lucas spent his childhood growing up in Kingsclear where he developed many life long friendships with people he held deep to his heart.

Lucas had an incredible bond with his siblings, loving them more than they could deal with some days. He was always pulling jokes but it was all in good heart to lighten up the air in our home.

Lucas is predeceased by his Grandmother Mary Marguerita Solomon, Grandmother Bernice Polchies and Uncle Dennis Russell Solomon. He will be missed dearly by his Mother Lenore (Jr), his Father Eldon Polchies Jr aka Book, his siblings Kayla (Jacob), Noah (Erin), Shyanne (Matthew), Hollie and Robby, his grand parents Eldon Polchies Sr, Richard Solomon (Lois), Uncles Leonard, Jeffrey, Peter (Tina), Patrick (Melody), Dean, Lance (Meghan), Client (Amy) and Aunts Terrilee (Andy) and Ann (Norm) as well as cousins and close relatives.

The family wants to take a moment to thank all of Lucas’s friends for loving him so dearly and always keeping him so close to your heart and believing in him every step of the way as we did. He was thankful for you all, and because of that we are thankful for you. In memory of Lucas, keep smiling, dust yourself off and move forward, always.

Lucas will be resting at 313 Geegan Street in Kingsclear First Nation from Wednesday March 15th 2023 until Friday March 17th at 12:00pm Noon. The visitations will begin Wednesday at 1pm. The family ask that it be immediate family only after the hours of 6:30pm on and that visitations do not begin until this at least 10:00am to allow family time to grieve the loss of the life of this wonderful young man. The funeral for celebration of Lucas’s life will be held at the Saint Anne’s Catholic Church at 716 Church Street - in Kingsclear First Nation Friday March 17th at 2:00pm with a reception to follow, details will be announced at processional.

Bishop's Funeral Home & Cremarorium have been entusted with the arrangements.
