It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Earl Dennis Van Norden of Fredericton, on March 2nd, 2023, at his home.  Born in Liverpool, N.S. on December 19th, 1942, he was the son of the late Bruce and Louise Van Norden.  He will be lovingly remembered as a beloved son, dad, papa, brother, uncle, and friend.

Earl served for eighteen years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a cook and did tours in Cypress and Bermuda. After Earl retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, he worked with Corrections NB for eighteen years.  Earl loved giving the neighbourhood dogs treats, working in his garden and walking at the Regent Mall. Earl was a loving father and papa and was so proud of his family. He loved spending time with them all. 

Earl will be deeply missed by son Mark Van Norden (Tara), his grandchildren; Jessica, Allison (Parker), Joey (Dalaney), Lane, his great-grandson; Gage, Brothers; Edward Van Norden from Dartmouth NS, Barry Van Norden (Kathy) from Greenfield NS and a sister Agnes Hatt (Gary) from Bridgewater NS as well as several nieces and nephews

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth, daughter Tina, son Darren and brother George Van Norden.

As requested, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place at Bishops Funeral Home & Crematorium and his ashes will be interred in the St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

For those who wish, memorial contributions in Earl’s memory can be made to the SPCA.
