It is with love and gratitude that we announce the passing of Stanley Brian Paul of St. Mary’s First Nation on February 20th, 2023, at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB he was a son of the late Daniel and Bernadine Paul.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 50 years Maggie Paul; their children; James Paul (Heather), Harold Paul, Ann Paul, and Carmel Calzavara, Grandchildren; Samantha, Dakota, Nicholas, Davis, Theron, Faith, Brittney, Possesom, Autumn, Forrest, Aluhk, Kyle and Rebecca, Great grand Children; Kailani, Boden, Luci, Harper, Quinn and Connor. Brothers; Daniel Paul (Bernie), Martin Pal (Pauline) and Adam Paul, sisters; Gloria Paul (Earl) and Catherine Collins (Eugene), special friends Sarah and spencer, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by children, Bernadette, Stephen, Eileen and Eugene. Brothers; Phillip, Leslie, Byron and Clayton, sisters; Yvonne Arbeau and Deborah.
Resting at his home 260 Maliseet Dr, St. Mary’s First Nation, on Tuesday February 21st 2023, and Wednesday and Thursday until service time. A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held at the Maqiyahtimok Center at 3 PM on Thursday February 23rd, 2023. A reception will follow the celebration of life.
A cultural carrier he was extremely proud of his indigenous roots, he leaves a legacy of teachings, and lived many lives, all of them in support of a better way for not only his family but for each and everyone who’s ever been in our lives.
Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road have been entrusted with the arrangements.
Due to severe allergies no flowers by request, live plants and greenery is acceptable.
A special thank you to Stanley’s personal care workers Doris and Michelle and to the caring nurses at the Chalmers Palliative Care.
