It is with heavy hearts that the family of Meda Titus (Clowater) wishes to announce her passing on February 18, 2023, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born January 20, 1936, in Fredericton, NB.  Meda was the first born of the late Milburn and Mildred Clowater.

Meda is survived by her sons Daniel (Alice) of Three Tree Creek and Brian (Maureen) of Fredericton, Brothers Dow Clowater of Burlington, ONT and Robert Clowater of Penniac and sister Alta Fazio (Frank) of Fredericton.  She is also survived by six grandchildren, along with nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and special friends Rose and Paul Sweeney.

Meda was predeceased by her husband Donald and son David.

Meda worked for over thirty years for the provincial government with NBIS and always tried to keep a high standard and respect of her coworkers, which was recognized by many. One of her best memories was her contribution in 1984 to the Bicentennial visit to New Brunswick of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Although Meda was born and raised in Fredericton, she always recalled her days with her grandparents and relatives in the Miramichi (New Bandon) and decided to retire to the Miramichi (Chatham) just to "feel more at home", she would reminisce of her grandparents with their treats from the family’s country store which she always had great memories of.

Respecting Meda’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Bishop’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton NB,  have been entrusted with her arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be made at www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
