Arthur Donald Neilson passed away peacefully at home on Saturday December 10th, 2022. Born in Saint John, NB, on March 28th, 1949, he was a son of the late Arthur and Joyce (Muxworthy) Neilson.

Arthur was a dedicated member of the Nasonworth Baptist Church for over 30 years and took time every day to read his Bible. He enjoyed fishing mackerel and trout, and especially spending his time outdoors in the woods tying salmon and trout flies, as well as building salmon rods.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Charlene, children, Ryan Neilson, and Jonathan Neilson (Bronwen), siblings, Francis (late Joe Wilson), Trevor (late Kathy), Nancy (Frank) Yerxa, Ann (Leslie) Thompson, Leroy (Karan), Karen (late James) Finnamore, Barb (Mike) Lindsay, Alma, Kenny (Roxanne), Sterling (Terry), and Heather (Mark Garbowski), many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as sisters-in law, Pauline (Donnie) Hillman and Maxine (Glenn Ripley)

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Charlie Neilson, and nephews, David Neilson, Jason Neilson, Reggie Yerxa, and Daniel Neilson.

Arthur will be resting at the Nasonworth Baptist Church (505 Phillips Road in Nasonworth) on Thursday December 15th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A graveside committal service will take place on June 10th 2023 at 11 AM. Memorial donations can be made to the Nasonworth Baptist Church, Stan Cassidy Rehabilitation Center, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. The family has asked that all those attending the visitation to please wear a mask, if possible.
