Pam graduated from Saint John High in 1969 and from the Saint John School of Nursing in 1972. After working on several different units and specialties, she found her niche in Mother and Baby care. She became the first Certified International Childbirth Educator in the River Valley region in 1984 and subsequently the Atlantic Coordinator. She was on the front of Today’s Woman in 1987, was a member of The Atlantic Lactation Consultants Association of Canada, and in 1995 she became the first international board certified lactation consultant at River Valley Health.Pam was a childbirth educator and a mentor to young and experienced nurses alike, and remembered for her patient, gentle, informative manner. Pam was always delighted to see "her babies" when she was out and about. She retired in 2012 where she was commended for being a champion for change, helping thousands of mothers and babies.

Pam is a past member of the Silver Dolphins, and was engaged wholeheartedly in the membership committee.  Pam also found great joy meeting up with friends to play a round of golf after retirement.
