Judy Lynn Tsang (O’Brien) died on November
26th, 2022. She is survived by her three
children, Jessica, Lee Ann & Jonathan; Grandkids, Oliver and
Declan; Co-Parent & Spouse William Tsang; Her sisters
& brothers; and many life-long friends. She was 61.
Judy was born on June 17th,
1961, to Betty O’Brien and Alec Dunbar in Fredericton, New
Brunswick. The strength of this woman cannot be understated. Growing
up in a home to 7 children, raised by a single mother, on the
Northside of Fredericton, challenge was something she was raised to
face. Judy left home early in her teens to travel, living in Ottawa
for a brief time. Not long after returning home she met her love
William. Having travelled the world together, it was not long after
they had their first child. Her second was stillborn but soon followed
by her 2 daughters.
Judy was diagnosed with
Lupus in 1990. Her fight with the disease was an uphill battle through
skin cancer, kidney failure, heart failure, heart attack, chronic
pneumonia and multiple strokes. She never did get COVID.
From her, we have learned many lessons; passion, patience
& persistence to name a few. She held an almost naive hope
with a pragmatic resolve. Her stubborn nature gave her the ability to
survive anything, in spite of herself. She will be missed immensely
and will live on through us all.
Visitation and celebration of life will be held Thursday,
December 1st, 2022, at Bishop’s Funeral Home from 1-3pm.
