It is with profound sadness that the family of Darlene Brewer announces her passing on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at the age of 85 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Darlene was born in Zealand on May 22, 1937, to Theodore and Derma (Hanson) Crouse.

Darlene was a devoted wife and mother, proud grandmother, and doting great-grandmother.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband and constant companion Bernard; daughters Marilyn Stevens (Randy) of Longmont, Colorado, Paula Furneaux (David) of Fredericton; 4 grandchildren, Matt Stevens (Hope), Caitlin Hoyt, Nick Stevens (Morgan) and Jordan Hoyt (Ben); 3 great-grandchildren, Jacob White, Jenna & Connor Stevens; sister Sharlene Crouse (Jerry); brothers, Eddie Crouse (Carole) and Paul Crouse (Susan), sisters-in-law Shirley Hanson (late Ardine), Verna Morehouse (late Clayton), Alice Jones (Burtis), Bertha Brewer (Dean), Barbara Brewer (Wilder), Marilyn Brewer (late Fred); brothers-in-law, Wendall Brewer (June), Earl Brewer (late Joann) as well as a huge extended family.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by brothers Laurel Crouse, Phillip Crouse, and Stanley Crouse and his wife Ardith, sister-in-law Lorna Brewer and her husband Eldon.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 6-8 pm at Bishops Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, the funeral service will be held November 4th at 2 pm at the same location with Rev. Carl Brewer officiating. Interment will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Zealand.
