It is with sadness, the family of Jeanne White (Bordage) announce her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, in Fredericton, on Wednesday August 24, 2022. Born in Chipman, NB, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Muriel Marie (Stillwell) Basque.
Jeanne spent the early part of her career as a Registered Nursing Assistant at the old V.P.H., the D.E.C.H. and St. Joseph's Hospital in Saint John.
She later went back to school and took a position in Legal Aid. She was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Women’s Auxillary with various branches. Jeanne was an avid bowler and dart player. She loved to travel and enjoyed all the good times with her friends and family at her camp in Mill Cove on Grand Lake.
She is survived by her husband Robert White; her children Mark Bordage (Brenda), Roberta Ouellette (Randall), Mark White (Gail), and Donna White; grandchildren Jackie, Stephen (Jess), Corey, Ashley, Brittany, Branden (Jerrica), Kaleigh, Skye and Amanda; great grandchildren Caleb, Isaac and Alex; sisters Terry Benton (Alan), Kathy Basque (Gary), Iris Bishop-Pitre and Judy Tissington; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as brothers and sisters-in-law from both the Bordage and White families. She was also predeceased by her 1st husband Eric Bordage.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Monday August 29, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at 11:00 am with Rev. Norman Bordage officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
