C’est avec une profonde tristesse que la famille de Fernand Joseph Leclerc annonce son décès le 10 août 2022 à l’Hôpital Dr. Everett Chalmers, à Fredericton, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Né le 9 octobre 1948 à Edmundston , au Nouveau-Brunswick, il était le fils de feu Aurèle et Juliette (Cyr) Leclerc.
Fernand a obtenu sa licence de mécanicien avant de parcourir de nombreux kilomètres en travaillant comme camionneur long-courrier pendant la majeure partie de sa carrière. Il était dévoué à sa famille et était très fier de prendre soin d’eux. Sa petite-fille le remplissait de joie et il aimait passer du temps avec elle. Vous pourriez souvent trouver Fernand passant du temps à l’extérieur à préparer son bois de chauffage ou à s’occuper de son jardin. Il s’entendait bien avec tout le monde et avait un grand sens de l’humour, toujours prêt pour une grande fête et appréciait les choses simples de la vie. Il nous manquera beaucoup et restera à jamais dans nos cœurs.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse depuis 52 ans, Lise (Pelletier), ses filles, Hélène Leclerc (Trevor Rivett), Suzanne Leclerc (Peter Pitre) et son unique petite-fille, Claire Rivett, ses frères et sœurs, Mariette (Gaston) Guimond, Jocelyne (George) Chouinard, Roger Leclerc (feu Diane Beaulieu) et Line Leclerc (Zoël Robichaud). Il fut prédécédé par un frère, Phillipe Leclerc.
Conformément aux souhaits de Fernand, il n’y aura pas de funérailles ou de visites. It is with profound sadness that the family of Fernand Joseph Leclerc announce his passing on August 10th, 2022, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, in Fredericton, NB. Born on October 9th, 1948, in Edmundston NB, he was a son of the late Aurèle and Juliette (Cyr) Leclerc.
Fernand obtained his mechanics license before travelling many miles working as a long-haul trucker for most of his career. He was devoted to his family and took great pride in taking care of them. His granddaughter filled him with joy and he cherished spending time with her. You could often find Fernand spending time outdoors preparing his firewood or tending to his garden. He was easy going with a great sense of humour, always up for a great celebration and appreciated the simple things in life. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lise (Pelletier), daughters, Hélène Leclerc (Trevor Rivett), Suzanne Leclerc (Peter Pitre) and only grandchild, Claire Rivett, siblings, Mariette (Gaston) Guimond, Jocelyne (George) Chouinard, Roger Leclerc (late Diane Beaulieu), and Line Leclerc (Zoël Robichaud). He was predeceased by a brother, Phillipe Leclerc.
