Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 68 years, Alphee, and their children: Linda McMorran (Brad), Lorne (Nola), Richard (Madonna), Bobby (Mona), Philip (Cindy), Anne, and Yves (Jody). Her grandchildren: Kerry (Stef), Kim, Jacqueline (Chris), Nathalie (Matt), Justin (Kristianne), Rheal (Jennifer), Kyle, Morgan (Andrew), Jordan (Michelle), Nicholas, Nathan (Ashley), Jason, Jamie (Crystal), Matt (Lisa), Brody, her great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Louise is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Alcide and Stella (nee Rioux), her sisters Denise Levesque, Carmen Michaud, and Jacqueline Gagnon, brothers Camille Castonguay, and Raymond Castonguay.

Louise loved being surrounded by family and children. Known as Nanny to many, she was an avid card player who always welcomed the chance to beat you in a game of cards. A wonderful cook, her famous recipes were the heart of countless Sunday night family suppers. A skilled quilter, Louise’s creations adorned many a bed. She treasured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.

A woman of great faith, Louise was a proud member of The Catholic Women’s League for 40 years.

Louise’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff and caregivers in Tower 1 at York Care Center for their care and compassion.
