Funeral Service will take place on
Tuesday, August 9th, 2022 at 1PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic
Church in Lincoln, NB.
Peacefully, surrounded in
love, Louise went home to her Lord on Monday, August 1, 2022. Born in
Sainte-André, New Brunswick on April
26th, 1936.
Left to cherish
her memory is her loving husband of 68 years, Alphee, and their
children: Linda McMorran (Brad), Lorne (Nola), Richard (Madonna),
Bobby (Mona), Philip (Cindy), Anne, and Yves (Jody). Her
grandchildren: Kerry (Stef), Kim, Jacqueline (Chris), Nathalie (Matt),
Justin (Kristianne), Rheal (Jennifer), Kyle, Morgan (Andrew), Jordan
(Michelle), Nicholas, Nathan (Ashley), Jason, Jamie (Crystal), Matt
(Lisa), Brody, her great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Also, her siblings: Cecile Beaulieu, Bertin Castonguay, Alex
Castonguay, and Leo
Castonguay.
Louise is reunited
in Heaven with her parents, Alcide and Stella (nee Rioux), her sisters
Denise Levesque, Carmen Michaud, and Jacqueline Gagnon, brothers
Camille Castonguay, and Raymond
Castonguay.
Louise loved being
surrounded by family and children. Known as Nanny to many, she was an
avid card player who always welcomed the chance to beat you in a game
of cards. A wonderful cook, her famous recipes were the heart of
countless Sunday night family suppers. A skilled quilter,
Louise’s creations adorned many a bed. She treasured her
children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and embraced every
moment with them.
A woman of great
faith, Louise was a proud member of The Catholic Women’s
League for 40 years.
Louise’s
family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff and
caregivers in Tower 1 at York Care Center for their care and
compassion.
Visitation will be
held at Bishop’s Funeral Home in Fredericton, NB on
Thursday, August 4th 2-4pm, and
7-9pm.
Funeral Mass will
be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Lincoln, NB at a later day
and time
The
family kindly request that masks be worn to both the visitation and
service.
Private interment
will be held at a later
date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that
memorial donations be made to The Catholic Women’s League or
York Care Center.
