At Enhanced Living in Oromocto Mrs. Thelma Yerxa Dickey passed away on July 5th 2022 at the age of 90.  Born in Lincoln NB, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Barbara (Yerxa) Foster.

Thelma loved her grandchildren and was known for her smile.  She worked for 10 years at Scott’s Nursery as a spring planter, a member of the Lincoln Wesley United Church.  She enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Maquapit lake. 

She will be deeply missed by her son; Carl (Anne) Dickey of Lincoln, one grandson Michael (Chrissy) of Rusagonis, 3 great grandsons, Cameron Ashton and Preston, One sister Ethel Lewis (late Don), sister-in-law Marg Wetmore (Jack) as well as several nieces’ nephews.

Thelma was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Dickey, her son Calvin Dickey, brothers Bill and Fred Foster, sisters Martha Scott and Lillian Taggart.

Resting on Thursday July 7th, 2022, from 5-8 PM from Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd.  A funeral service will be on Friday July 8th, 2022, at 10:30 from the United Church of Oromocto 144 Winnebago St, Oromocto.  Interment to follow in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery.  The church requires masks to be worn when entering the church.

The family would like to thank the Enhanced Living Home in Oromocto where the staff and other residents became part of Thelma's chosen family.  Also, a special thanks to great-nieces Angie and Amy for all the loving care and companionship they have shown over her time at the Enhanced Living Home and especially during the last few days prior to her passing.
