At the Moncton City Hospital on Thursday
June 30, 2022 Robert "Bob" Barlow of Fredericton, NB passed
away at the age of 68. Born in Saint John, NB he was a son of the late
William and Edna (Bishop) Barlow.
Bob was a self-employed home inspector.
He graduated from high school in Clelmsford, Ontario where he excelled
at basketball. Bob loved music and played many instruments including,
guitar, mandolin and was learning to play violin and keyboards. In
1973 he began training in martial arts, by 1975 he had advanced to the
rank of black belt. He continued to train and was later assigned the
position of chief instructor in Sudbury. Bob moved to Fredericton in
2016 and began training in the art of Tai Chi in Saint John,
eventually becoming an instructor. He also was an avid
archer.
Bob is survived by three children Liane
(Seb) Dupont of Rockland, ON, Ian Leclair and Chris Barlow both of
Sudbury, ON; a brother Michael Barlow of England; two sisters Betty
Anne Howell of Moncton and Ellen Chicoine of Fredericton; several
grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; the mother of his
children Lise Leclair. He was also predeceased by two brothers George
"Bud" Brewer and Donnie Brewer.
In keeping with Bob's wishes, visitation
or a service will not take place at this time. A private interment
will take place at a later date. For those who wish, a contribution to
a charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated.
