It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Kelly Price-Doucet of Fredericton, NB, which occurred at the DECH on May 7th, 2022. She was 53. 

 

Kelly was survived by her husband, Jacques Doucet, her children Shelby(Chris), Kenzie(Tom), Logan(Becca), and Emily, her grandchildren Kaden, Kacey, Bria, Lucas, Kallum, Liam, Miaya and Addie. Also her mother Lynda (neePyne) Price, her sisters Karen Dion(Marc) of Riverview, NB, Michelle Huizinga(Peter) of Michigan, USA and her special friend Gary Boole. She was predeceased by her father Vinny Price and her sister Nicole Price. 

 

Before Kelly got sick she spent a lot of time volunteering and organizing programs for the children on Doone Street/Wilson Row. She was the "community mom". Everyone knew they could go to Kelly for anything, especially children. She would never let a child go hungry or without even if it meant sacrificing something for herself. Kelly has make an impact on the lives of so many people; children, adults, family, friends and even people she hardly knew. She had the most kind and loving heart. 

 

When Kelly wasn’t listening to a wide variety of music, watching Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons or Jeopardy, her favourite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her grandkids. They were the lights of her life. 

 

In the last two years Kelly has been very sick and in a lot of pain. She always put on a brave face and never really let anyone know just how sick she really was. She was a fighter and a warrior. She will be sorely missed. 

 

There will not be a visitation, however a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022, at 2PM, at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, NB.
