Marilyn (Mim) Simms, age 72 passed away in the exceptional
care of Hospice House Fredericton, January 25, 2022.
Marilyn was born in Fredericton, youngest daughter of Bill
and Ruth (Lovely) Simms.
Mim enjoyed growing up in Devon and graduated from
Fredericton High School. She then moved to
Ontario. She worked as an administrative assistant for the
Malaysian Embassy and then 18 years for the RCMP
Headquarters.
Mim returned to Fredericton and dabbled in retail owning
Second Time Around. Mim became part of the arts community
and did voice work and also studied pottery.
Mim's love of children led her into a new career as a
Educational Assistant, retiring after 20 years of mentoring and caring
for students.
Mim is survived by one sister Eleanor, and one brother Gerry
(Eleanor) , nephews Matt and Chris of Fredericton, Jamie of Alberta,
and Kira of Australia, and their families. Mim is
predeceased by her Mom and Dad.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday June
23rd at 12 Noon from the Marysville United
Church Cemetery.
A celebration of Life will be belt at the Muse
Café from 1-3 PM
