It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jim Corey (Norman James Corey) of Fredericton, NB which occurred at the Pine Grove Nursing Home on Monday, January 17, 2022. He was 73.

Jim was born in Moncton, NB and was the son of the late Jim and Mabel Corey. His wife, Linda, predeceased him in 2008.  His parents, brothers Richard and Wayne (Alfie) all predeceased him.

He is survived by his son Darren (Carol), daughter Karen, brothers Garfield (Eileen), Wallace (Louise), David (Cecilia) and sister Myrtle McFadzen (Terry) as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jim spent over 30 years at the Hartt Shoe Factory and several years afterwards at the City Motel before retiring.  Jim was an avid Habs fan and loved stamp collecting, old western movies, reading and gardening.

Due to the current circumstances, there will be no visitation or service. Internment in the Marysville Baptist Cemetery will take place at a yet undetermined date of spring/summer 2022.

Donations to the Pine Grove Nursing Home would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers. Our thanks and gratitude to all the wonderful staff there cannot be overstated. They are a very special group of individuals.
