Elissa Mae Norwood
May 13th, 1974- January 9th, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Elissa Mae Norwood at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on January 9th, 2022, with her family by her side.
Beloved daughter of Jeanette Wellwood (chosen dad Hughie Wellwood), sister of Kenny Harper (Holly), Walter Norwood Jr., Carla Gowan (Steve), Krista Morrison (Shane), Audrey Harper (Ryan Everett), Mark Harper (Krista), and stepsisters Melanie, Melissa, and Amanda Wellwood. Elissa has many nieces and nephews who were special to her. She also is survived by her childhood friend Georgina McKeen.
She is predeceased by her father Walter Norwood Sr. and, stepfather, Aubrey (John) Harper.
Elissa was a talented craftsperson who especially enjoyed woodworking. When she wasn’t crafting, Elissa loved to spend time in nature and had many fishing spots around NB.
The family would like to thank the staff of the ER and doctors and nurses of the ICU. A special thanks to her aunt Evelyn and family for their support and prayers, and to everyone who offered prayers and kindness.
Due to Covid restrictions, there will be no funeral service. Burial will take place at a later date in the Milltown Catholic Cemetery in Barter’s Settlement, NB.
