It is with profound sadness that
the family of Maxine McIntyre of Saint John formerly of Fredericton
announces her passing on September 5th, 2021,
at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Marysville, NB
on November 3,1933 she was a daughter of the late Bedford and Nellie
(Nash) Shears.
She is survived by her 3
daughters: Roxelle Hallett (Ernest) of Calgary, Marva Roy of
Middleton, and Christina Veysey (Matthew) of Sussex, 8 grandchildren,
12 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers
Marvin Shears (Edna) of Corner Brook and Milford Shears of Toronto as
well as numerous nieces’ nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her
husband Frank McIntyre, brother and sisters Nelson, Eileen and
Edith.
Maxine was a very active member
of her church. She loved picking fiddleheads and spent many
hours quilting, knitting, and doing puzzles.
The family would like to thank
the 6th and 7th floor at
St. Joseph’s hospital for the care and compassion shown to
Maxine.
Maxine will be resting at
Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd, Fredericton, on
Tuesday, September 14th, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8
PM. A funeral service will take place on
Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, at Works of
Faith Assembly 962 Rte. 655 Rusagonis at 2pm With Brother Ivan Carr
officiating. Interment to follow in the Alexander Gibson Memorial
Cemetery.
