Santina Matilda Daley (Tilley) passed away on August 12th, 2021, at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Tilley was the youngest of three girls born May 4, 1929, a daughter of the late Lucia and Giuseppi Corsetti and proud to tell you she was the first Italian born in Fredericton.

Survived by her sister Maria Corsetti, two nephews Joseph (Brenda) and John Valentino, two nieces Linda Gregan and Caterina Valentino, two great nieces Olivia and Andrea Parker, one great nephew Charles Gregan (Shelley).

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Donald, a sister Yolanda and brother-in-law Achille Valentino.

Tilley had many talents and interests, she lived life to the fullest right downtown always ready to go and try something new. She was inducted into the sports hall of fame with her Catholic Women’s League Softball Team, represented New Brunswick with a Bowling team and enjoyed playing cards at the Legion.

She was ice skating up to and on her 80th birthday. She rode her bicycle, could swim, dance, sing, laugh, tell jokes, nothing she couldn’t do or do well. Her Gardening and artwork were exceptional.

Tilley was adventurous travelling to Australia, Alaska, Grand Canyon, San Francisco, and a cruise on the Queen Mary to name a few. She enjoyed knitting Afghans and gifting these to friends. She will be missed by her many family and  friends; however, we will be blessed with so many fond memories.

Tilley’s funeral will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Wednesday August 25th, 2021, at 11AM, interment to follow in the Hermitage Cemetery.
